The Mystery Pollster, an excellent resource for those interested in 
the ins-and-outs of polling, has two excellent pieces up in the past 
two days.

The first one is an extensive analysis of the "Freeman Paper" that 
has become mildly famous on the Internet.   He does a good job of 
highlighting some serious flaws in his conclusions:

In particular, the Mystery Pollster concludes that it is very 
reasonable to conclude that 

The second post links to an excellent interview with Walter 
Mitofsky, who is considered the "father of exit polling", and who 
ran this year's exit polls.   In particular, Mitofsky says that he 
has studied the exit poll data on a precinct-by-precinct level, and 
found no evidence of voting fraud connected to touch-screen voting 
machines without a paper trail.*
