My first thought was that it was an Alice reference, but I've never

I've heard good and bad about UoW, that it's an aggravating book in 
some ways.  Excession I don't know much about at all.

I hope so.  But there's always the "yahoo" factor here.  That is to 
say, there's enough "yahoos" that refuse to even consider the 
possibility that the US is, on occasion, the bad guy, that real change
may be a while coming.  I still think we're *generally* the good guys,
but the folks running the show right now are working hard to make us
look like Snidely Whiplash, using 9/11 as an excuse for all manner of
things that sound, to me at least, downright un-American.
