I see that Cindy Sheehan is running for
Nancy Pelosi's seat.
I hope and pray that San Francisco isn't looney enough
to elect her.
Aside from losing the Speaker, Cindy is a "destroy the
opposition" sort coming from the other direction,
which is just as useless.

much as i would like to see anti-war candidates run in 2008, i doubt
they will succeed against incunbent dems, especially those who have
valuable seniority. better to defeat gop incumbents. pelosi has to
make compromises with even a lame duck executive branch. i wish she
did not, but the american voter will continue to elect candidates who
have a chance of winning...
