hi, my names dan. my ears have been burning a little
recently as it seems everybody has been talking about
me. yes it was i who purchased those now immortal
prizes for last weekends FLY TNT nottingham
tournament. when i first read stigs email i must admit
i went fucking apeshit. upon reflection i can see how
the prize giving ceremony may have put the game in a
bad light as far as the teams sponsors were concerned.
however i am of the opinion that paul knew exactly
what sort of tournament he was coming to when the
invitation asked: "are your team smoking, non-smoking
or schmokin'". i dont want to start some sort of
slagging match with paul, but when your team names
refer to foul language and cunnilingus, i dont feel
you're setting the best example for the game either;
hardly appropriate for two junior teams.
i think everybody else at the tournament took the
prize giving in jest, as it was meant to be taken. I
respect paul's point, and his postion as a teacher,
but i am NOT going to apologise for my actions. had i
been organizing prizes for a regional final, i
probably would've done things a little differently.
but as it stands, the tournament has no 'official'
connections, and was only a little fun. as for BUF
action, i implore you not to take any action against
the ultimate community of nottingham. i and i alone am
responsible for the prizes, so blame me.
and remember kids, winners dont take drugs.
