Great Barr Crawl 2002 Update

Title: Brand new Birmingham Tournament for Spring 2002

Dear all,

 

Thank you for all the responses I have had so far for our little event in the second city. I can confirm that the following teams are entered:

 

MMJ

Flyght Club

The Airforce

Mwnci See

Chuft

Sublime

Baboom

Jesters

Uriel

Bears 1

Trigger Happy

The Fish

Purple Haze 1

WAS

+ some Slipdisc teams

 

I also have reserve cheques from those keen people at Bears 2 and Purple Haze 2. This means that I have limited space left in the tournament, and plenty of teams who said they will send a cheque but haven't done so yet. I am going to say that all entry cheques are to be received by the end of 2001, and if they aren't I will put the two reserve cheques into the event. This is the only way I can see to be fair to the teams who have sent two cheques, and to the teams who have expressed an interest.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to take this brief opportunity to welcome you all to take part in the Birmingham 2002 Indoor Frisbee Tournament: The Great Barr Crawl. This event will be taking place in our new 2 pitch venue at Great Barr Leisure Centre, North Birmingham on the weekend of 9th/10th March. (I have been assured that this is not Nationals weekend) The event will have 16 available team slots for you all to apply for, and will be available at the bargain price of �70 per team. The event will probably run until 7pm on the Saturday, and until 5:30pm on the Sunday night, and will be the perfect opportunity to polish those indoor skills for the final tournaments of the season.

If you would like to enter the tournament, then get the cheque in the post as soon as possible, made payable to 'Slipdisc' and sent to the address below. It would be useful for you to e-mail me as well, so that we can establish an easy contact, but to re-use a usual sentiment: "We won't let you in without the money."
