I don't want to start a debate on this.

There is a reason why TD's have been asked to accommodate women's divisions

It's important to give women's ultimate a profile and an audience and show players that there is another option to competing in a male dominated competition - women's events shouldn't be held separately to the tour and the co-ed tour becuase there just isn't space in the calendar and people aren't motivated to attend. This will improve, hopefully, the number and the development of female players in this country.

With the development of the co-ed tour, you now have the option to compete at a high level with men and women. Maybe women aren't ready to make this break from the 'norm' of playing with their Open team yet and the difficultly this year is that many of the top women are committed to their co-ed teams for Hawaii.

Perhaps women's teams who are planning to enter the women's division could publicise this so it is possible to assess the enthusiasm.
