Yo, The Mohawks are hosting a 16 team tournament on the weekend of 24th/25th April 2004 to kick off the summer term. We normally host student events but this is OPEN TO ALL. It is being held at Sussex University, Falmer, just outside Brighton ( http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=534445&y=108770&z=3&sv=534500,108500&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf&dn=813 ), next to a train station and just off a motorway.
With a complete disregard for the season, the focus will be on indoors (4x18 & 3x26 minute games), but we have several outdoor events planned for Saturday and Sunday evening such as the traditional charity match, and a mini hat tournament if there is interest. A barbecue with cheap food and drinks on sale will be happening from 4-9pm next to the pitches (instant bbqs may be provided for each team), and then onto either the pub/club on campus or into town for a booked night. Limited accomodation is available on Mohawks' floors. Entry fee for this tournament is �90 per team, �70 for second teams. This includes: 2.5 hours total indoors pitch time Cheap sandwiches, snacks and drinks during the day Cheap burgers, beer, wine, spirits and mixers during the evening One player entry for the charity match Entry on demand for all players into a mini outdoors hat tournament Hot showers till 6pm Cheques should be made payable to "USSU" and posted before 31st March to: Felix Shardlow 35 Edburton Avenue Brighton BN1 6EL There are 16 spaces on a first come first served basis.
