Hi all,

A big thank you to everyone who supported the GB squads at in Finland last

After the amazing success of all the GB squads last year at Europeans many
are disappointed by our results this year. So I want to ask for your
opinion. Where you in Finland? Where you in France (or Estonia for the
Juniors) last year? Do you have any comments or observations about the GB
teams, our play, our results, comparisons with the rest of Europe or the
world?

We need to be learning the lessons both from Euros'03 and Worlds'04 if we
want to continue to improve the top level of the game in the UK - and, of
course, that has a direct impact on all levels.

I'd like to hear from as many people as possible about what we should change
and what we should keep the same about the way we play and organise Ultimate
in the UK. Even if you know nothing about the national teams you will have
something to tell us about how things run. So please stick your thoughts
down either to BritDisc or to me direct (I can't guarantee to reply but I
always read everything).

In conjunction with the 2004 Awards dinner, which will take place on the
23rd October in London, we will be having a UKUA 'conference' at which we
will be discussing how to get the most out of UK Ultimate for everyone.
What is discussed and agreed in the build up to and at that conference will
have a direct effect on the Ultimate we all play over the coming year(s).
So please do step up now and voice your thoughts.

More details on both the Awards dinner and the 'conference' will be
available soon.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Barry
