The PDGA World Champs in Iowa, USA finished this weekend. There were 2 Brits in action: Ruth Steele finished 9th in the Womens Division. The British no.1 Derek Robins was competing in the Pro Masters Division. He qualified for the semi finals and finished in 27th from a field of 86. UK based American Fernando Brown plays on the British Tour. He played in the Amateur Advanced Division. He also qualified for the semis and finished 30th from a field of 280. There were some exceptional performances from European players: Swedish player Birgitta Lagerholm won the Pro Womens Division. I believe she is the first player outside of North America/Canada to win this title. Another Swede, Johannes Hogberg, won the Junior Boys Under 19 Division.
