Hello all,

I sent an email last month on the Women's ultimate
egroup outlining how the Women's spots will be
allocated for the European Club Championships 2005
[date/location TBA].

I have copied it to the end of this email for those of
you who are not on that mailing list. If you are of
the female persuasion, then you must join this list if
you want to keep updated on women's issues. It's not
fair to continue spamming every egroup known to the
UK. Though it does remain fun. ;)

SUMMARY FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T BE ASKED TO READ ONE MORE
LONG EMAIL FROM ME:

Women's spots for Euro Club Championships 2005

- UK likely to be allocated 3 spots for women's teams
[TBC]

- Winner of Women's Outdoor Nationals offered the
first slot. They must accept or decline by October
1st. [London's HRH have been offered this slot for
winning Nationals. Have till end of this month to
accept or decline.]

- For the remaining slots, teams (geo or non-geo) must
e-mail an application including:
   1) Team Name
   2) List of 15 players that are likely to play on
your team
   3) Any other supporting reasons why your team
should be allocated the slot.

The applications will be discussed by the Newly
elected Women's Ultimate Committee! It will be this
group that will then vote on which teams will be
allocated the remaining women's slots for European
Clubs.

Voting for the NEW! Women's Ultimate Committee is
still open for all women until 23rd September:

Women of Ultimate: get voting, and let's keep
supporting each other on & off the pitch!

Yours faithfully,

Hello ladies!

A few weeks ago the Regional Women’s Coordinators &
the women who played GB discussed the women’s division
for the European Club Championships 2005.

In the past, the team that won Women’s Outdoor
Nationals was given the UK spot.

This year has seen the introduction of the Women’s
Regional All-Star tournaments as well as the Geo
Women’s Tour events. The focus has been on developing
all level of players and encouraging geo teams with
regular local practices. In the past 8 months, it has
been fantastic seeing the level of improvement overall
in women’s ultimate!

Our long-term eventual goal should be to have only Geo
teams taking the spots for the European and World
Ultimate Frisbee Club Championships. Teams that
practice together regularly will always perform better
than teams that do not. There are enough super stars
spread throughout the UK that each Geo team should
have strong established talent at hand. Even more
excitingly, there are a large number of women who are
"diamonds in the rough" just ready to step up &
perform well for Britain if given the chance.

This year, the UK is likely to be allocated 3 slots
for the Women’s Division of the European Club
Championships. The winner of Geo Women’s Nationals
will be given an invitation to take one of these
slots. They may accept or decline this invitation by
1st October 2004.

The remaining team slots can be applied for by any
team (ie geo or non-geo). These applications will be
discussed by the Women’s Ultimate Committee (to be
voted in this weekend at Nationals). These
applications must include the name of your team, as
well as a list of 15 players that will play for your
team. Applications for these slots can be sent to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] from now until 1st October 2004.
Please include any other relevant information as you
may see fit (for example if your team are reigning
European Club champions, etc!)

For more information, or if you have any questions or
comments, please feel free to e-mail me or the group.

See you at Nationals!
love,
Alia x
women’s ultimate coordinator
