CONFERENCE
Details for the 2004 UKUA Conference are as follows:
VENUE: HOWELL ROOM, CCPR MEETING ROOMS, WESTMINSTER, LONDON
DATES: Saturday 23rd October 2004
TIME: 10 AM 4.30 PM
COST: The Conference is free to all UKUA registered members.
(There is a maximum capacity of 50 people and pre-booking is required.)
***As we are especially keen to encourage representation from as many
clubs/teams as possible we are offering the first 15 people (from outside
London) who book a place at the conference a 10% refund on tickets for the
Awards Dinner. (This refund will be made at the conference.)***
THE IDEA OF THE CONFERENCE is to bring together a representative group of
members to discuss the development of Ultimate in the UKUA. Discussions
would take place on the different areas of particular interest or concern to
members. A Conference Report will be produced based on these discussions
which will then form the basis for an ongoing development plan that would
steer the UKUA's efforts over the coming years.
All of this will have a direct effect on the Ultimate you play and the
leagues and tournaments you attend next year and beyond - so make sure that
your interests will be represented!
THE CONFERENCE SCHEDULE is:
10:00 - Registration (tea/coffee/biscuits)
10:30 - Introductory discussions
11:00 - Opening presentation
11:30 - Workshop(s) on specific areas of interest
13:00 - Lunch
14:00 - Presentation
14:15 - Workshop(s) on specific areas of interest
16:00 - Feedback discussions and closing remarks
16:30 - Finish
To help plan the specific discussions it would be useful to hear from as
many people as possible a prioritised list of what you feel should be
covered.

- Team(s) you play for
- Membership number (or email you registered on ukultimate.com)
- Given an infinite choice what two discussion topics would you take part
in?
- Any additional comments you have.
The exact details about the topics to be discussed will be based on the
numbers and interests of those attending; thus it is important to have as
wide a representation as possible.
We would also like to hear from anyone with experience of facilitating or
chairing (and writing up) group discussions.

After dinner dancing til 1 AM
COSTS: £38 non-student
£34 student

As well as being great fun the evening will be an excellent way to end the
year and to celebrate Ultimate!
The LookFly Player of the Year Awards for 2003 and 2004 will be presented
along with the Jump&Reach Best Tournament and Most Spirited Team Awards for
2003 and 2004.
We will also be presenting the UKUA Achievement Awards.
