I think where people should be focusing is that there is likely to be a fair bit more money around for sport in the UK between now and 2012. A lot of that will be channeled into the mainstream events with the best chance of producing medals but I expect to see some sort to Sport for All type initiative.

Forget trying to get into the Olympics and think about how to get a share of that funding and perhaps use the infrastructure that will be created to expand the sport in schools an colleges. That means having representatives ready to go, literature design, a coaching scheme etc.

So no more rounders then ;-)  Can't imagine why they want golf - they
all make so much money from other tournaments they're hardly going to
turn out for nothing at the Olympics. Bring on Disc golf I reckon!
