I think all of you guys have made grat points, with
Devon as an example due to the big student drop of
during the summer we have been making a big push to
get more and more jnr's and non-students into the
sport. Anyone that's played against either of the
Devon teams will see that we've had players
representing us from the age of 13 upwards, with the
plan in the new school year to expain ultimate into at
least 3 more schools to go hand in hand with the
Airbadgers (St.Peters School) and Team Mongosling
(Ivybridge Community College) as well as holding
beginner sessions for the non-students. I think the
idea of beginner tournaments have experienced
tournaments along side them is the best way forward at
the moment as they get to see how the game can be
played and get to try it out and have fun at the same
time, if any one has a great idea for player RETENTION
then send it up as that would help us a lot.
