Hello all For all of you West Midlanders (and anyone that isn't going this weekend) the second of the skills days aimed at beginners and intermediate players. This one will take place in Selly Oak Recreation Ground, Raddlebarn Road B29 7DA on 28th October at 10am. This is open to all teams, please bring as many of your players along as possible. Beginners are particularly welcome.
The aim of the day is to teach some basic principles to beginners and intermediate players. Everyone is welcome and even players with a few years experience found the sessions last year useful. There are some drills and tips that will help you to improve the following: - Basic throwing & catching technique - Cutting & effective man-to-man defence - Forcing and breaking the mark - Bidding & Reading the disc We'll finish with some games where you can put your new found knowledge into practice. Notes: Please be at the park early enough that you can be booted up and ready to start at 10am. Please bring light and dark shirts, a warm hoody/coat, cleats/boots, water and some food.
