Oscar, I wrote the schedule, it was my decision to use it. I'm on the scheduling committee, and they were given sight of the schedule, although as it is the schedule that we've been using on the Mixed Tour for the past two seasons and it was stated in the Mixed Tour rules 2006 that it would be used this season, it seems a little late to make a complaint!
It's also unclear what you are complaining about. You lost one game and came 27th, which was similar to my weekend in that we lost one game and came 2nd. So why did we come 2nd and you 27th, well probably because we beat the teams that came 3rd and 4th and 8th and 9th, so 2nd seems about right. I assume you lost to a team that came (say) 25th, and beat teams that finished (say) 28th, 29th, 30th, 32nd & 33rd so similarly 27th seems about right for you. Ok, you didn't get a chance to play my team so we can't be CERTAIN my team was better than yours, but I think the format generally does give a fair chance to all teams to prove their position, and improve it over the course of the season. Ok it might be dissapointing for Brighton 2 that they won ALL of their games and could only come 13th, but they changed the way they pick their teams this year, and they now have the chance to make it into the top 8 at Tour 2.
