GB Women are hosting Tour 0: Laying it on the Line on 15/16 March, where Open teams from across the UK are invited to come and show their stuff, to in essence, lay it on the line for seeding in the upcoming season. We have secured the beautiful, I mean, ruggedly handsome, pitches of Wimbledon Common in London, where Nationals was hosted last year. If there is enough interest, there will also be a women’s section to the tour, so captains of women’s team please email us at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you are interested in attending and we will gauge interest. There is talk of Leeds, Iceni, and Bristol playing friendly matches, but this is all still to be confirmed. We will also be running layout clinics and a layout competition, where you can show off your superhuman capabilities. Your superhuman partying abilities can then be shown off at the Saturday night superhero themed party which will also require the suspension of disbelief and hopefully lots and lots of capes (because how often do you get to wear a cape?). The team fee is £150 and lunch boxes will be provided at the additional cost of £75 per team for the weekend. Please note that there will not be a cafe stand set up like there was at Nationals, however we will be selling breakfast baps in the mornings. Lunches will include hearty bread, fresh food, homemade snacks and enough protein to put hair on your chest. This is great value and will leave you with more money for gadgets and power tools.
