Hello,

Are you brand new to the sport or maybe an experienced, older hand looking
for a team this summer? Are you within commuting distance of London?

For London Summer League we are hoping to put together a pick up team (or
two) depending on interest. Ideally we could have one at both locations
(Balham and Clissold) but I'll see if that is viable after checking
responses. Pick up teams are a great way to get into the sport and to meet
new people. About 4 years ago, Paul Hurt stuck me in the pick up team
"Virgin on the Ridiculous" (Worst. Team. Name. Ever) and the following year
we were Flaming Galahs (Second. Worst. Team. Name. Ever). For most of us who
set up Galahs, we had never played frisbee before and it was a really good
introduction to the sport, the socialising and above all the spirit of the
game. Now you know it's Paul you need to blame...

A couple of experienced players as well would be great so let me know if you
fancy playing. We already have a few people interested so it's looking good.
The usual appeal for women stands. Maybe it's a good opportunity to make
your other half come and get involved in this strange sport he/she has been
hearing about for so long now. Summer league will be bigger and better this
year with a league and cup format and big end of season party hopefully
being announced asap. Come and get involved.

I'm really keen to get one or two pick up teams going so we offer people
without a team the chance to get involved in the beautiful thing that is
London Summer League.

Any questions then please drop me an e mail. If you have a team who wants to
enter as well then get in touch. Sorry for bothering non London people but I
thought there may be some people outside of the London mailing list who
might travel in for a spot of mid week disc and sunshine. Well, disc at
least.

Thanks.

Dan.

London League Committee.
