Dear Reader, (Uni Captains, Club Captains, etc, could you pass this message on to players please)
Vision Ultimate would like to invite players from the North West and (any) commutable distance to our pre-season training session in Liverpool on Saturday the 14th of November. This session will be aimed at experienced players, people who have generally played over a year of Ultimate and enjoy competitive play. The idea behind this session is to give people in the area a chance to play with and against A Tour standard players, and train in a competitive environment. The session will include skills and basic strategic form followed by plenty of game play! This session is perfect for those who are interested in participating at, and training with, A tour level players. Also those who are considering their options for a Domestic Tour club, or those who are interested in the 2010 Vision squad. This could be a good excuse to see what Ultimate is like at our club and for us to get to know you! The session starts at 11:00 (aiming to arrive at 10:45ish) and will finish at 15:00 (depending on the games). Bring with you a black and white shirt, a trusty disc, water, boots and warm/water proof clothing. There will be showers and changing available at the greenbank sports centre, if needed, and parking too. If you can let me know if you are coming and if you are brining any number of people with you, that would be handy information for us. Do this via email or txt/phone. We have already had interest from a good number of people and we would need to accommodate large numbers if groups are attending. Location: Sefton Park, at the end of Greenbank Lane. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=110887116188580254103.0004776c7035c9c425cc8&ll=53.379335,-2.902451&spn=0.032511,0.090723&z=14 Or Google, greenbank sports academy. (location of Liverpool Beginners) The Day: The session will be run by a group of experienced Vision Ultimate players, most have represented their country, in Ultimate, at some level and have high level coaching experience within and outside of Ultimate. I would expect and hope that even players who have a good number of years experience under their belts might pick up a thing or two, as we expect that we will pick things up from those who have their own experiences. Thanks and hope to see you there!
