Hi all,
Southampton Skunks hosted Southern Uni Women's Indoor Regionals this weekend in
Eastleigh, with 16 teams battling it out for the 9 qualifying places at
Nationals. Here are the results, with each team's average spirit score out of
20 in brackets. We used the BULA Spirit score system to allow teams to offer a
more complete breakdown of spirit and feel it was very successful.

3. Southampton Skunks (13.4) - SPIRIT WINNERS

7. Sussex Squaws 12.1)
8. Plymouth Picnickers (10.2)
9. Surrey Sirens (10) - PLATE

11. Kent Touch This (12.6)

It gives me great pleasure to announce that the three highest-scoring teams for
Spirit were the three highest finishing teams - Urielle and Cobras were second
and third respectively. I feel it is important to emphasise that Spirit of the
Game and intensity of play should not compromise one another and the results of
this past weekend prove this.
Thanks to all who took part and congratulations to the top 9 teams going
through to Nationals.
