Hey BD, A few of us folks in Sheffield are about to book a minibus to get ourselves to Newcastle and back for New Year's Resolution, and we have a few seats available. In order to make it more cost effective, we're offering out seats to frisbee folk everywhere (or anyone else wanting to get to Newcastle).
We'll be going from Sheffield on Tuesday 29th (the day before the tournament), about lunchtime. Coming back on New Years Day, when I'm sober enough to drive (probably about lunchtime, again). The route is: M1 -> A1 -> Newcastle (basically) passing (loosely): Barnsley, Wakefield, Leeds, Wetherby, Harrogate, Darlington, Durham If you wanna hop on the New Years fun bus with phat eds & co, it'll cost something less than £20 return, depending on how far you're going and how many people get on the bus, which is way cheaper than the train. £13-£15 is probably nearer the mark, but can't guarantee it until I know numbers. Also, I can't promise transport in and around Newcastle to wherever you're staying. It's a possibility, but as we're probably not staying in the same place, it might not be practical logistically. But this is still better than if you get the train, as the bus is sure to drop you a darn sight closer than the train would.
