Chris

You're right that there is some information on UKU, but I'm not totally sure
that the committee members listed there are up to date, and (though no doubt
members of the current women's committee are working hard behind the scenes),
it's not really clear what their current role is re the format of women's tour
or what plans they are considering for this season.

There is a need, as Jo rightly points out, for some discussion and consultation
among active women's clubs about which format will provide competitive games
for the majority of teams, while allowing them all a fair chance to progress up
the rankings. There are also longer term issues about the women's game that
merit discussion - in particular how to improve the competitive standard
throughout the top 8 so we offer more challenge to the top two teams.

As a captain of a rapidly expanding women's team, I certainly have views on
this and I would like to know how best to submit them and to whom. There are
also people on my team who would be happy to play an active role on the
committee (which seems to have an incredibly extensive remit), if there are
positions open for new members. If someone could send me the details about how
they do this, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks

Sarah
