See below the e-mail I've just sent your team contacts who have been in
charge of organising you and paying for your entry into MT3. 

 

Their mail had the attachment of the pitch maps and HQ layout so contact
them to forward it on while we try and get it loaded onto our website.
You'll need it to relate some of the info shown below. 

 

Schedule is underway and we hope to send it out a bit earlier than usual
as you've all been very prompt and paid up a week in advance - thank you
all this helps us a lot.

 

I'll keep you posted with info but for now I hope this is enough to keep
you going.

Dear All,

 

Please find attached the pitch map for the weekend, which will accompany
the schedule. As you've all been excellent in terms of payment by the
deadline it meant I could give the UKU the info so we will hopefully
have the schedule in the next 24 hours - wouldn't that be nice!!! I'll
push as hard as I can.

 

Anyway, some things to consider:

 

Camping and parking.

There are three parking areas: the first is behind the club house, the
second runs alongside the show pitch and the third is over the road in a
field - see map. Please fill them up in that order as the ones who get
there first will want to park close to the camping area.

There are outdoor toilets located at the side of the club house and also
toilets inside which we intend to have open over night for you to use.

When pitching your tents, please don't pitch them right up against the
show pitch as we need to get cars around this perimeter to keep water
filled up on the various pitches.

 

It is absolutely crucial that you keep the area directly outside of the
club house free when you arrive as this is where the staff will need to
park and it also gives the physio's wagon room to manoeuvre.

 

Facilities

The HQ is where the tournament staff will be based for the weekend in
the room marked 'Sponsors Lounge' don't worry this is much grander than
it sounds. This is also where the bar is, site of the party, where
you'll be claiming your beer and curry from (for those who are having
it). This is where the showers are too for play area 2 and the closest
pitches to HQ.

 

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make sure if your team is playing on pitches
2-10 you use the second shower block - marked in the play area to the
left of the map. It's just as new as the facilities at HQ and it means
we can spread the load on the system and you all get a good shower. This
way you can be ready in good time for the show game.

 

Timings

The schedule is currently being written but I'm expecting the first game
slot on Saturday to be at 9.30 and the last game slot should be finished
before 5pm, allowing you until 6.30 to get yourselves cleaned up before
the show game scheduled to start at 6.30pm. Food will be served before
and during the start of the show game for those who have decided to get
involved - there are about 250 of you! Tokens will be given to you on
the day.

 

Access to play areas

To play area 1 it's around the back of the show pitch, passed pitch 1
(for those not playing on it) and then over a small bridge, which brings
you out at the back of the tennis courts/football pitch - see the map.

To play area 2 you have to go back out of the main entrance to BCFC,
turn right and walk back down Kayte lane to the entrance to the field.
PLEASE TAKE CARE ALONG THIS ROAD AS IT CAN BE BUSY AT TIMES

 

So that's it for now, schedule and players pack to follow, which we'd
prefer you to print out and bring with you in the interest of saving
trees. Please forward the pitch map on to your team mates as it will
give them a clue as to where to park.

 

Bear with us and the staff at the venue, we've tried to fit a lot into
this tour and we hope you'll enjoy it but this is the first time either
of us have done anything of this scale. We're really looking forward to
seeing you all there and we'd like your feedback too.
