Reasons why its good for you: 1. Its a new mid-summer tournament happening near you - by supporting it you'll get to guarantee that every summer there is another great tournament in your area
2. You need to play at Regionals to qualify for Nationals (and EUCF) 3. The best teams in your region will be playing 4. We have always had at least one opportunity per year for lower ranked teams to get the chance to play a top ranked team -> that opportunity has been MOVED into regionals. Reasons why its good for other ultimate players: 1. If you think about most aspects of the development of our sport, you'll conclude that we should do more to foster competitions that don't need everyone to travel a long way and stay somewhere for the weekend. I know some of the regions are still pretty big in square miles, but this is a step in that direction. 2. If you are part of a stronger team, this is the one day/weekend of the year where our competition structure is asking you to put a bit back by playing (and maybe helping?) some players/teams that are not so good yet. Reasons why its easy: 1. Tournament location is relatively convenient (I appreciate that is not universally true, but it is for most people) 2. Some of the tournaments will be 1-day only 3. You are not forced to play Regionals-Nationals with the same team you played with at Tour. (There are some restrictions on teams/players playing in Open Division of WUCC. And you cannot switch after Regionals.) Please help us by entering asap in the regions that have announced (London&SE, North, Midlands). We are working on Scotland and SW&Wales, but are expecting both to be much smaller events. If you are the organiser for a team that plays at Tour events that has decided NOT to play at Regionals, it would really help us out to know about this. Please contact me, or preferably the TD of your Regionals.
