Hi BD & ED The UK's iron-man indoor tournament is back for a fifth year. No subs, no excuses, just bring your best players and battle it out on a level playing field to become the Iron Five. Registration has already opened, if you wish to enter a team please head over to the website http:// www.Lion44.co.uk/ironfive/ and fill in the online form.
What is Iron Five? Iron Five is a no subs indoor tournament. You bring your best 6 players (including you hopefully), play 5 for any game but …. you can’t sub during that game. There are no more excuses left. No team has more legs than you. Just your best indoors team vs. the world. After last year’s player survey we have gone divisional, with Open, Mixed & Fun Divisions. You can bid to enter any division however; only the top teams will be selected for the Open Division. If you have changed you team name from last year or you are new to Iron Five, please give some extra information when you fill in the form. When Is Iron Five December 11th & 12th 2010. How much is Iron Five? Team entry is £125 Where is Iron Five Plymouth, England The home of Iron Five is the Mayflower Leisure Centre in Plymouth. This will be the last year we play in this relic of a bye gone era when heating was a luxury and every one wore more cloths in the middle of winter. Now having almost served its life the building will be replaced by what I like to think of as the Iron Five Arena. From next year a sparkly new state of the art building with three pitches side by side, Olympic size pool, diving pool and so much more. Why should you enter Iron Five? This is Iron Five’s 5th year and it only gets better every time. . We have seen some wonderful games in that time and this will be no exception I’m sure. With almost 60 teams registering interest last year they can’t all be wrong. Along with two days of play on three pitches we have secured one of the best night clubs in Plymouth for the party this year. We have a VIP Bar just for our teams & special offers to help get the party started. Because of the popularity of last year, Teams who were on the waiting list from 2009 will have weighted priority to fill spots in the Mixed & Fun Divisions. Teams will further be favoured for the 2011 Iron Five if they register for the 2010 waiting list. How To Register Head over to http:// www.lion44.co.uk/ironfive/ and fill in the registration form online and the invites will be sent out at the beginning of September. Any question please send to [email protected] but be patient for a response as I’m off to WJUC 2010 with the GB U17s tomorrow. Wish us luck and I'll get back to you soon.
