Man, does time ever fly these days, but with the summer tournament season's
becoming a fast-fading memory, ABH has just the remedy for anyone looking
for fall and winter disc in London.

We're holding pick-up every week at 2pm in Hyde Park, but on Sunday, October
10th, we'll be holding open practices/tryouts from 12 to 2. Anyone with a
bit of experience and/or banter is welcome to come on out and see what we're
all about.

*Who is ABH?* ABH is a fun, London-based Mixed and Open Team. Not a newcomer
to the scene, we’ve been around for 6 years and are based in Central London
- practicing in Hyde Park every weekend, and then practicing our best beer
rehydration efforts at a brilliant local pub nearby.

*Our main goal?* ABH is looking play competitively in the Mixed and Open
Tours, plus put in a strong showing in the spirit scores. Among our secret
weapons? Forget revolutionary zone defenses, master chefs on ABH have made
eating cupcakes an art form - from a post-game call that is “Cupcake
Roulette” to rewarding layouts... cupcakes will always make an appearance.

*Philosophy?* We’re all about balance. Over the winter, we play hard and
practice hard once a week. The rest of the time, there’ll be optional
fitness workouts and other practices (including midweek astroturf fun!), but
we realize that we all have a number of commitments to juggle so these
aren’t mandatory.

Socially, we figure that the folks who like this sort of vibe must be pretty
cool to hang out with as well – so do a number of social things throughout
the year… from the country hikes (with pub stops), to normal pub meetups
(yes, with pubs) and even cheesy board game nights or CD mix swaps at the
afore-mentioned pubs.

Basically, folks who come out to ABH not only develop the ability to throw
glamorous (if slightly foolish) pinpoint upwind hammers, but a
near-encyclopedic knowledge of the London pub scene.

If you’re interested in playing with us, we’d love to have you come on out.
If you have any questions, please email Mara Alperin [snowy_owl203 (at)
yahoo.com] or Mike Hawkins [hawkinsmike (at) gmail.com].

For a bit more information (including a map of where we play), please take a
look at our website (http://www.abhultimate.org).

Cheers,
ABH
