Iceni is opening up practices during the off-season. These sessions will be skills based, and are open to all female players in London (or nearby areas), regardless of your interest in trying out for the club. Our first practice of the winter is Monday, 11 October. Please get in touch with us beforehand ([email protected]) if you would like to come, so we can get an idea of numbers. About us: Iceni is London’s premier women’s ultimate team. We are an elite team, and we attend both national and international tournaments. Practices: Monday evening sessions will be a combination of drills and scrimmaging. There will be lots of opportunity to play games, along with time to improve skills and availability for 1:1 coaching with Iceni players. Once a month, we’ll host “Death by Ultimate” sessions. These are open to all reasonably experienced women, who are looking for an evening of competitive games. Details: Practice runs on Mondays from 7.30-9pm at Battersea track. Show up at 7 to get yourself sorted out and warmed up. Battersea Park Millennium Arena Albert Bridge Road SW11 4NJ Each session will cost £4 to attend (which covers our cost of renting the floodlit pitch in London). You do not have to pay for the track in addition to this - just let the Battersea desk attendees that you are there for the Ultimate Frisbee and they will let you in. If you are considering trying out for Iceni, the Monday night trainings will be a great time to meet us. Trials will be held in early 2011, and more information will be published nearer to the time.
