Hello,
Quick (and slightly dodgy) update about what's happening in Spain for EUCF for anyone who is interested. I've pieced this together from the slightly confusing website so forgive me if I'm just making things up. Open: Clapham topped their pool winning all three games pretty easily. Chevron came second in their group after winning two. They lost to Freespeed 15-4 which sounds slightly odd, given the other results in the pool, but that's what it says. Fusion came second in their group after winning 1 and topping a three way tie. Fire lost all 3 to end up bottom of their group. Seems all three were close defeats and the group looked very tight. However things have picked up since then as they beat Cota Rica in sudden death and Feldrunner 15 -10 to progress to the "plate" final. The website is a bit confusing but I think that the top 8 bracket in the open has played their quarter finals already even though the results page is blank. Looks like Clapham went through 15-13 but Chevron and Fusion both lost. Chevron took Skogs to 15-13. I thought the semis must be tomorrow but the Facebook page says it's a Skogs v Flying Angels final although I can't find any scores or anything to confirm this. Looks like Clapham must have lost in the semis. Anyone know? Women: Leeds came second in their pool after a three way tie with three teams winning one game in what looks like a very tight group. Iceni topped their group with 3 wins including a crushing of the second placed team 15-4. Tried looking to see when the semis are but couldn't find it. Facebook page suggests tomorrow morning but I have no idea who is playing who. If anyone has better updates than this then feel free to add them! I'm aware that a lot of this is guesswork and some vague detective work but there you go. Dan. . Dan Berry.
