Hello again!
Just a quick reminder about Chick Hazard's first Womens skills day.
This will be a combined Skills Session and the first practice for new London
Women's team Chick Hazard and will be followed by a trip to the pub to decide
Chick Hazard's aims and officially celebrate the team's formation. Of course if
you just want to practice but don't want to play for Chick Hazard you're still
totally welcome to come. The more the merrier!
Original email is below, but here's the skinny:

Hi BritDisc,Choke Hazard have been blessed with an influx of great new players
over the past year, particularly girls, and out of this growth has come the
desire to play at more tournaments and at different levels of
competitiveness.To this end, we've decided to start a Women's team - Chick
Hazard (Name subject to change via ridicule)Our current aims (or rather, their
current aims, I'm just the recruitment guy) are to enter at least one London
Winter League date and at least one Women's Tour event next year.To kick things
off we're having a Women's skills session on Saturday the 20th November.Things
will start at 10am at Kennington Park (head to
http://chokehazard.co.uk/where/index.html for a handy map) leaving plenty of
time afterwards for a trip to the pub and some planning for the year ahead. If
you're planning on coming then please [email protected] so we can
get an idea of numbersPlease bring:discs, light and dark topswaterSo, you know,
the usualWe're also looking for experienced Women players who would be keen to
rise to the challenge of coaching this new team.If you have experience and
think you'd like to take on the role of coach for a new team then email
[email protected] with a brief description of your ultimate
experience/history.London already has several Women's teams, but more teams
means more competition, larger Winter League divisions and generally that can
only be a good thing. Also, Chick Hazard will operate quite independently from
Choke Hazard - any girls who want to try out for Chick Hazard can do, and
there's no requirement to play for Choke Hazard at any other point, so if you
play for a mixed team in London already but fancy joining a competitive Women's
team then come along, all are welcome. We look forward to hearing from you
:-DThom
