December 11th saw the 2010 national junior women's indoor championships take
place in Malpas, Cheshire. With a record 14 teams competing (we have never
had more than 7 teams in this event), this will be the last time this
tournament can take place on a single day. We may also have to look at an
u17s girls event next year as well.

Reigning champions Rhinos from Stourport were as strong as ever and managed
to go the entire day never conceding more than 3 points in any single game.
With such dominance, the others were playing for the honour of making the
final and the first big shock came when Ocelots beat last year's finalists
Flux 11-4. It meant Flux needed to be Badgerettes to make the semis, but it
wasn't to be their year. Badgerettes making their first ever appearance in 5
years at this tournament did very well to finish 3rd beating Evolution who
narrowly lost out to Ocelots in their semi-final.

So, congratulations to 3 times champions Rhinos. Great to see new teams
Hedge-Hogs from Wycombe School and Fulneck School, and great that Badgers
finally managed to get a team along. Equally great to see Flux manage to
bring 3 teams and so many other 2nd teams there. Very encouraging for the
future of junior women's ultimate in this country.
