All,
Mixed Nationals will once again form part of the mixed tour. The
Competitions Committee recognise that this is not universally popular -
but there are simply not enough dates, given the current structure of
our competitions, to do much else. The only other realistic option is to
have a 2-tournament tour.
However, due to the fact that tour formats/schedules get tighter as the
season progresses, we have decided to combine Mixed Nationals with MT1
this year, rather than MT3. Generally only the top 8 can win at MT3,
which is hardly the right ethos for Nationals.
So - our outdoor season will be bookended by Mixed Nationals at one end
and Open/Women's Nationals at the other.
