Hello,

I've had people interested in helping for the SE and possibly Midlands
regions, but this idea will only really work if we have reports from all the
regions. If you are going to Western, Scotland or Ireland regionals and
would like to help out with our media project please let me know as soon as
possible. If you'd like to help and you're going to the Northern, Midlands
or SE regional event, also let me know and I'll put you in touch with the
person who's already volunteered.

Thanks a lot,

Tim

Hi BD & UU,

Hopefully you remember an email a while ago from Sean Colfer about a new
UKUA media project (if you don't I've added it to the end of this message).
One of the ideas that has been suggested as part of this project is to
create a small report on all the uni teams going to compete in the BUCS
Championships (open outdoor nationals). There's always a lot of talk that so
and so has graduated, but so and so has just started a PHD and is going to
be around for another 3 years. We want to bring together all this
information about a team alongside their regional performance as a preview
to nationals.

To do this we need someone at each regional tournament (this weekend) who is
willing to write a little report on the teams that qualify. I'll be at
Bangor so will be able to cover the northern region. If you are interested
in this please get in touch with me at: tim.c.sanders at googlemail dot com,
telling me which region you could cover. I will be in touch with those
interested in the next couple of days, giving an example of the sort of
thing we're looking for.

Cheers,

Tim

BritDisc,

The UKUA are looking to add a new news section to their website to address
the lack of news available to most Ultimate players in the UK. The hope is
that eventually the website will be able to have reports and scores from
every tournament held in the UK, as well as features and news stories about
the UK Ultimate scene and the players involved.

However, we could really use more volunteers who have good writing skills,
interesting story ideas and really want to help get this project off the
ground. The first events we will be trying to provide coverage for are the
UKU Club Indoor Qualifiers in Wolverhampton, Luton, Plymouth and Aberdeen.
We will need people who can provide reports, photos and any other coverage
from all four events.

I will be coordinating the project at this early stage, with help from
several volunteers across the UK. If you wish to know anything else about
the project or you want to help out in any way, please contact me on
scolfer40 at gmail dot com. Any time that you can give would be much
appreciated.

Thanks

Sean Colfer
