Hi BD / UU. This is another plea for help from some volunteers to support UK Ultimate in running a session at a high profile youth & teacher engagement day in Darlington on Friday the 4th of March.
This day is part of a large scale national plan to get Ultimate in to schools through a project the Youth Sport Trust are running in partnership with some corporate sponsors, it's a very big deal. Unfortunately I haven't been able to muster up enough help for the 4th of March and really need people to step up. Any costs that you would incur travelling to and from the event would be paid for. I need any Ultimate players who have some experience in teaching, but mostly experience in playing. For students this could be a great opportunity to write about involvement in a project of this scale, with a reference afterwards too perhaps! (bribe?) Also, if you are thinking that you don't live in Darlington but would love to, I will be travelling from Liverpool though Leeds towards Darlington, so could potentially pick people up and take them to and from the event.
