Ladies and gentlemen I am pleased to announce that entry for the 2011 Sheffield Hat tournament is now open!
This years event will be taking place on the weekend of *9-11 September*, at the HSBC Sports Ground just on the outskirts of Sheffield (awaiting final confirmation on the pitches but I don't expect the venue to change). There are still plenty of details to nail down but here is some of what you can expect: - 2 days of 5-on-5 Ultimate (UKU sanctioned) - 4 quality pitches - 2 nights accommodation - 2 breakfasts - 2 parties - 1 Lookfly cotton t-shirt - first aid cover - onsite bar / changing facilities - Saturday MVP show-game - transport to and from the pitches (*hoping to have coaches to transport those players who don't have their own vehicles)* As with any Hat tournament, you enter as an individual, and you will be placed into a team based on your experience and gender, in order to have as evenly matched teams as possible. We have a capacity of up to 120 players, with a view to having 8-12 teams. The player fee for the event is going to be a maximum of £30 - this will be confirmed when I have more accurate figures for my expenditure, but will not exceed this. As with last year, we will be raising money for the sporting charity *Right to Play*, and a percentage of your player fee will go directly to the charity. To enter, please go to http://www.ninety2ultimate.com/sheffield-hat, follow the links and complete the form. You will receive an email within 7 days confirming your entry, and will then receive further information and payment details a little nearer the time.
