Just a thought... IF the scheduling committee were paid for their work, what would it cost?
- 3 (?*) hours of do / check / review, at ~ £10 (?**) per hour = £30 - doubled (?***) because 'charge-out' rates are rarely the same as what you pay the resources = £60 Maybe the UKU should charge every team a £100 'deposit' for each Tour tournament, refundable if you they don't drop out... yes, in addition to the tournament fee teams pay the TD!!! [When Tour first started, there was a £15 per team deposit payable to the UKU...and a BlackList for dropouts... oh, in the good old days...!] * how long does it takes to write/amend a Tour schedule ** that's only £18.2k pa on a 35hr week *** which is probably not enough somewhat more than tuppence...
