Hello all,

This is just a quick email to those players who live in Greater Manchester
and are interested in being a part of development plans for that county.

One of the projects we are working in partnership on
have earmarked Manchester as a major hub for its development aspirations,
for the alternative sporting offer. Because of our direct involvement in the
Matalan schools project, we have been given (and are likely to receive more)
opportunities to push our own development aspirations alongside that and
other projects.

Simply, we wish to increase the amount of Ultimate that is played in
Manchester and importantly find ways to sustain that growth. We recognise
that involving the local volunteers and clubs is the only way
to achieve this.

The first thing that needs to be done is to create a better communication
pathway. We have set up a yahoo email group as a first attempt
of achieving this. Hopefully this will allow us to capture the attention of
all those who are interested in helping.

To join the group you don't need to be some sort of super volunteer. The
group needs to be filled with people who are motivated to see Ultimate
in Manchester grow or has some vested interest in its growth. Even if this
results in you attending "only" one (or even non) of the many opportunities
or volunteer calls we have over the coming years, great!!

We need people who represent all the aspects of Ultimate in Manchester on
this group.

Just to summarise. We have chosen Greater Manchester as one of our priority
counties for development because we recognise the potential for growth there
to be very high. Please help us realise those aspirations.

Sincerely, Liam Kelly
