Dear Ultimate community,

As the 2011 outdoor season is nearly over, Golden Ants Ultimate club would like
to invite you to an annual individual disc competition:

Golden Hands Challenge, London 2011

Sunday 09-10-11, Clapham Common Park SW4 near the Eagle Pond at 13:00

On Sunday, we will compete in 3 disciplines:
Accuracy
Distance
SCF 
SCF - self caught flight (TRC - throw, run & catch, MTA - maximum time aloft)

You can compete in all 3 disciplines or just choose one which suits you most :)

Winner of each discipline and overall winners, will receive small prizes. 

Cost: £2 for all disciplines, pay on the day,
or £1 if you register your interest on clicking  'attending - yes' on Facebook 
page.

As we are ultimate players, we will use Discraft 175g discs in every discipline 
on Sunday,so please bring your own good discs with you (please write your name 
at the back of the discs).

Accuracy:  (it was windy last year)
F: Magda Glanc   (Golden Ants)  ->   6x,  time: 4:18
M: Viliam Holicka (Golden Ants) -> 10x,  time: 4:05

Distance:
F: Magda Glanc (Golden Ants)                   -> 45m
M: Al Harding  (Peeps/Flaming Galahs)   ->  75m

SCF:
F: Magda Glanc (Golden Ants)    -> 41.715 points; TRC - 19m & MTA - 4.13''
M: Al Harding  (Peeps/Flaming Galahs) -> 70.585 points; TRC - 35m & MTA - 6.47''

Overall winners last year were: Magda Glanc & Al Harding

I believe all these records can be improved on 09-10-11.

Anyway,  this event is not all about records 
- it is all about having a good time and 'challenge yourself' & your friends ;)

Most importantly is to respect the Spirit of the Game during the whole 
competition.
