Hi Apologies - but we made some changes and didn't update all the necessary pages.
We've been moving to a model where all the regional/qualification events only require BASIC membership. So - it used to be the case that FULL membership was required for Indoor Qualifiers, but not anymore. Of course players that qualify for Nationals will need to make sure they have full membership - it is possible to upgrade Basic membership to Full membership so you don't end up paying extra this way. Two extra comments on that: 1. Please note that we determine who gets Ultimatum according to the membership at the end of the year - and Basic Membership doesn't qualify for Ultimatum. So someone upgrading Basic to Full after New Year would not receive Ultimatum. 2. As I've noted on a number of recent emails/announcements, we took the decision to revert our membership scheme to a system where all membership expires on the same date. Due to the way the Ultimate-playing year works it was clear that the best time to do this was 30th Sept. So - to be clear - membership will be expiring annually on 30th September going forwards. [There are a number of reasons for doing this - but mostly its about making it easier for people to remember when to renew, easier for club-captains to know when to remind their team, and easier for us to administer. And in the long run it doesn't actually change the total cost to individuals.] Anyway - apologies for the confusion over Indoor Qualifiers. The front page of the membership section on the website did already say that only Basic membership was required for Regionals - but evidently I failed to update the page that Si East linked to earlier today.
