Hello again people,

Brunel are desperately searching for 1 more team for their tournament this
weekend. We really are trying to find that one extra team. Its only £90 for a
team and accommodation and 80's vs 90's party are free. It is a warm up
tournament so their will be some competitive Ultimate as well as great banter.

Would really appreciate the help

Cheers
Jamie Edwards

Hi,

If there are any Cardiff No Frills alumni out there that I haven't already
contacted then please get in touch. Don't worry if you haven't played for a
while, post-graduation frisbee experience is not a pre-requisite!

Ladies and Gentlemen of Great Britain,

2012 is going to a great year to be British.

Not only is it going to be the year we celebrate the 60th anniversary
of the reign of our illustrious and still quite foxy monarch, but we
will also be playing host to one of the most impressive and well
regarded international sporting events in the world*?

BRITISH THUMBER TIME 2012: The Diamond Edition

Thanks to that right royal sexpot Betty Windsor, the weekend of the
3rd June will be a FOUR DAY WEEKEND for most of the UK.

So this year BTT will be much earlier, and you?ll have a whole extra
day to recover from your banter induced injuries (physical and mental)
before returning to the real world.

In brief, British Thumber Time is a three day, outdoor (grass), loose
mixed tournament. Camping is on site, and we breakfast and dinner
every day is included in your player fee.

Bidding is now open to get your team a spot secured at the most
chaptastic banterfest of 2012.

Based on your feedback from last year we?ve made some changes. They
include:

- More bunting
- Nightly good/evil games booked into the schedule, with proper
scoring and less nudity (maybe)
- Fewer buildings falling down (maybe)
- Better vegetarian options, and more of them
- An even bigger outdoor party tent
- An even longer and more elaborate beer race
- More warning before naked people run past (we'll do our best)
- Better rotation of pitches.
- More changing facilities and toilets.
- More port

Actually, more port might not be physically possible. But you?ll still
be camping next to the pitches, getting all your meals provided,
attending three massive parties and receiving all the trimmings we can
come up with between now and June.

Now for the bad news: We?ve had to change the prices in an attempt not
to lose so much money. We've increased the team fee to 150 pounds
sterling, and the player fee is now ?20.

To bid, we need to know your team name, contact details and a guess at
how many players you'll be bringing. Send us your bid to our
electronic mail address: [email protected]

God save the queen,

Jaff and chaps at Suck My Thumber Towers

Hello Britdisc,

After the great success of the first of Birmingham's indoor tournaments
this season, the University of Birmingham has secured the same venue as
Birmingham Warm Up 2012, to host the inaugural Birmingham Warm Down 2012,
for the weekend of 31st March - 1st April. With the weather outside
becoming slightly more bearable, this is a great opportunity to get one
last fix of indoor play!

With the proximity to Easter weekend, you can eggspect a basket of fun and
chocolately goodness for all of the 16 teams which we have space for at the
fantastic Doug Ellis Sports Centre. A giant, sprung wooden hall, with
enough space for 2 gratuitous indoor pitches and with a viewing gallery,
this venue will take some beating! There will be a minimum of 8 games per
team, all of at least/roughly/about 20 minutes in length.

To register your interest for what is sure to be a truly eggcellent
tournament, please email us at [email protected] stating your team name
and providing a contact for us to send payment details to. All spots will
be confirmed upon receipt of payment, at ?125 per team.

So in summary:
What's it called? Birmingham Indoor Warm Down
Where is it? Doug Ellis Sports Centre, Birmingham
When? 31st March - 1st April
How Much? ?125
What can you eggspect? A darn tooting good time! + Chocolate

We hope that you are as eggcited as we are!

James and Richard,
BIWD 2012 TDs.
