Evening all

The uptake of places at this years Sheffield Hat has been fantastic with
more than 90 players signed up already. This promises to be the biggest
and best Sheffield Hat yet but there are still nearly 30 places available
so you can still sign up!

The original details I sent out are copied below but I must point out that
to get in at the cheapest price (£30) you need to register and pay up by
this Friday, 22nd June. At that point the price will increase by £5 until
the next payment deadline on 13th July.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch -

Thanks
Si

******************

The Sheffield Hat is a fun, chilled out Hat Tournament with a couple of
slight differences to others you may have attended. We play 5v5 on smaller
(BULA sized) pitches. Don’t get worried about playing iron man though; we
aim to have 10 players on each team so you have plenty of subs!

The whole event aims to raise awareness of, and money for, the sporting
charity *Right To Play*. Part of your entry fee will be donated to the
charity along with any funds we can raise over the weekend. This year we
even have a representative from the charity taking part!

We are heading to a new venue this year which means we get to have
everything on one site, including camping, bar, food and entertainment!

* *

*What you need to know:*

 Location: Hillsborough Arena
Date: 7th - 9th September 2012
Price: £30* (plus £5 camping charge)
Capacity: 120 players ^

* *The price will increase if you miss payment deadlines (full info on the
website)
*^* We may be able to squeeze a few more players in but we are limited on
pitch space*

As it is a Hat Tournament, you need to enter as an individual and complete
the entry form as accurately as possible. Your answers at registration
will go in to the wizzy team calculator to ensure the teams are as evenly
matched as we can make them (based on experience, handler skill and
fitness). Absolutely anyone can sign up regardless of experience or
ability (nearly 10% of entrants in 2011 had little or no Ultimate
experience).

Each team will play at least eight matches over the weekend. There will
also be a show game on Saturday evening involving players who gather the
most MVP votes during the day’s play. Fantasy Ultimate will return for the
show game this year, giving everyone the opportunity to win a cash prize
and added incentive to heckle the players!

Saturday evening will be a chilled out affair this year. We have a bar
open on site until midnight and we are planning a number of drinking
challenges and races etc. We want to get everyone involved so you can make
requests on your entry form and we’ll cater for as much as we can. Speaking
of catering, the venue cafe will be open all weekend serving a range of hot
and cold food and drinks, and the onsite bar will be open all weekend too!

Throughout the weekend we will also be showing live sports on the big
screen in the bar, and there will be a variety of ways in which you can
help to raise funds for *Right To Play*.

There is camping available onsite this year though we will have to charge
you £5 per person camping. Obviously camping is optional so feel free to
make other arrangements if you wish.

Once again, every entrant will be provided with spangly new kit in your
teams’ colours and there will be an abundance of prizes including:

- Winners medals
- Most Spirited team
- Most Spirited player on each team
- MVPs from each team
- Show Game MVP
- Challenge winners etc

*What you need to do:*
