Hi We recognise that this event is slightly more expensive than we would like as the venue hire is unusually high.
However - once we were looking at the bids we had to make a choice between changing the date or accepting a higher entry fee. Given that the qualifiers had already suffered from some dates-messing; and after consulting with people who had other events pencilled in for Feb, we took the decision that given we had a viable venue for the published date we would stick with it. I'd like to thank Jordan for finding the venue and running the event under the circumstances and want to make sure that teams and players are very clear that the higher-than-usual entry fee is completely due to the venue hire costs and the fact we had no other alternatives for that date.
