Dear All,

With 48 hours to go before Mixed Tour 3, here’s a quick update:

Schedule is practically there. As soon as it’s available, we’ll get it on the
UKU website. Final tweaks should be happening today. Unfortunately, we had a
team drop out late on Tuesday night which has caused a delay. For travel plans
assume your first match will start at 9am on Saturday morning, so make sure you
get there in plenty of time to warm up and meet up with the rest of your team.

BCFC will be open on Friday night and available for camping. The bar will be
open with snacks and rolls available along with big screen TV. We’ll be around
late afternoon/early evening should you have any questions.

We have physio support over the whole weekend with 3 first aid trained physios
and 5 final year students who will be available for massage. They won’t charge
for this but a donation would be gratefully received.

The show game will be on again as in all previous years, where the £3 curry
will be available throughout in the club house. There will be a veggie option,
too. The game will be a pool game from the top 8, so well worth getting
involved and cheering them along.

After the success of last years karaoke, we have this on again for the entire
night. However, it’s also Eurovision which will be fitted around the karaoke,
following it’s success 2 years ago, when everyone got surprisingly involved
with it!!! Can I also remind you not to take your own food and drink into the
clubhouse. They offer drinks and food at very reasonable prices so taking your
own stuff in is not allowed. By all means consume it in your tents, but not in
the clubhouse.

Games on Sunday will run from 9am too and the hope is that the final will start
shortly after 3 so that you can all be winding your way home before 5pm latest.
But this will be confirmed by the schedule.

Also be aware that not all game times will be the same – some will be 70 mins,
some will be 90 mins so make sure you have your copy of the schedule and pitch
map available and that you’re reacting to the right hooter.

Weather wise, it’s not going to be a scorcher. Highs of only 12ºC all weekend
and it will be windy, so make sure you pack accordingly. It is meant to be
mainly dry with showers forecast for Saturday afternoon and possibly later on
on Sunday, so bring some water proofs.

I think that’s it for now. Pitch map and schedule to follow as soon as
available.

Looking forwards to seeing you all and hope you have a great weekend.

Chris, Ems and Mez
