Hi, I'm still trying to help my blind friend with his framing issue. To review, he's running Linux Debian 10 with brltty 5.6-10 installed from the Debian repository, and he's using a Powerbraille 80 display. He keeps having to use the dot key to send the cursor to the beginning of the new line. We have his system set up for remote access via SSH, so I can get into his system to do upgradesor modifications. Two questions: 1.) I could not find a preferences file, so he hit Bar1+Bar2 and the preferences menu appeared. He selected "Save on exit", and then hit Bar1+Bar2 again. The cursor then generated a long series of letter Y's. We rebooted, but now Bar1+Bar2 no longer pulls up the preferences menu. Can you suggest something to fix? 2.) Is there a way to build the SETLEFT command into the preferences file so that the next line of text always starts at the left? Thanks in advance.
