Those are two different events.

When the logic was implemented: That, as it turns out, was an accident. 
Originally, there was a place where the commands were passed to BrlAPI where 
the command swapping hadn't occurred yet. Then, later, passing the commands to 
BrlAPI was moved to just another step in the command processing stack. The 
original intent, therefore, wasn't to pass the swapped commands to BrlAPI.

When we discussed it: That was much more recently when we discussed how a 
second brltty instance - e.g. the AtSpi2 one - doesn't interact well when the 
commands are swapped by the main one.

I've never claimed to be right on any issue. If someone can convince me that 
I'm wrong then I acknowledge it and change my mind. That's exactly what 
Chevelle did. It just took me a little extra time after my first response to 
her to realize exactly what she was saying.
