Hi Dave, I am a very new Ubuntu user.
Currently, I run it using Orca/Espeak as accessibility tool. I Can't even figure out how to get on a text console with ORCA. So, my question would be which steps should I complete to install a new brltty from repository? ----- Original Message ----- From: Dave Mielke To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, January 07, 2009 8:21 PM Subject: Re: [BRLTTY] Using Seika 40 braille display under Ubuntu [quoted lines by Michel such on 2009/01/07 at 19:11 +0100] >Is it possible to use this terminal under Linux Ubuntu. Yes, but I believe you'll need a newer release of brltty than Ubuntu currently has. Your best alternative, if you don't mind it, is to build the latest development release from the repository. >It works fine under Windows. In fact, I suspect it'll happen automatically as soon as you connect the Seika. You should get a device name like ttyUSB0. -- Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | The Bible is the very Word of God.
