I'm not sure if brltty's command learn mode works when you're using nvda
or
not. Can you please give it a try? You enter command learn mode by
pressing
keys 1456 altogether - the display should then say "command learn mode"
(without the quotes). If it works, then please press key 5 and tell us
what the
display then says. Press keys 1456 altogether again, or just wait for ten
seconds without doing anything, to get back out of command learn mode.
If command learn mode doesn't work when you're also using nvda, then
please try
it when using brltty by itself in a console window. Perhaps you're not
used to
doing that, so maybe someone else with a Buam display could also do it for
us.
We're just wanting to make sure that key 5 is indeed being mapped to the
correct brltty core function.
If the admin here thinks that I have to leave this list, please tell me it
and I'll do it soon.
That'd be me, and, no, I don't want you to leave. You're a user with a
problem.
It's our responsibility to figure out what that problem is, and, if it's
within
brltty, to fix it.
I don't wish to bother anyone here.
I'm sorry but I didn't intend to say anything bad here but to say what I
find and as I do understand the purpose of this list as others, to help us
the blind pc users and to help the developers to improve their work.
We should and must never be bothered by a frustrated user reporting a
problem
with an application we've accepted the responsibility for. I'm sorry that
this
sentiment has been expressed to you here.
