Well... in looking at how I set this up internally, I now realize that this 
feature is being EOL and will no longer work as of January 31, 2019. I guess it 
would have to be webhooks.

    Email commit notifications are actually a builtin integration in GitHub... 
You can set them up under Settings -> Integrations & Services -> Add service ->
