That all depends - the Swedish water may be better for some beers, but it can never make a proper pilsner, nor a serious Burton Bitter Ale. Then again, it seem like the Danish water is only good for Carlsberg... Seriously - how much does the water matter? A lot if you want to make an exact copy of an Urquell or Hartwall, but if you just want to make a good beer, you can get pretty far simply by doing the right things the right way, and let water be water... Simple chemical additions can fix 90% of the rest, for those who wish to play with chemistry... I count myself lucky for not being able to taste the last 1% difference - that would be too expensive... But yes - I must admit - the tap water I grew up with (West of Helsinki), is definetly something else that what comes out of the Danish taps. Maybe some places in Sweden have something like it as well, I wouldn't say ;-) -- Heikki Levanto LSD - Levanto Software Development <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
