I have just got mine, and will try to remember to get around to take some pics in the weekend. The principle is pretty simple. Instead of a pipe down into your source bottle, it has a larger tube that works as a cylinder for a simple piston. There has to be a valve in the bottom end to stop the stuff from flowing back into the container, but to force it out through the siphon tube. I think welding your own sounds much like an overkill, buy the lastic one from Brygladen.
