Of course you can. If you have the beer on keg, just drop in a sockfull of hops, wait a week or three, and remove that sock. If you have the beer in a fermenter, you can do the same, or rake it over to a fresh one (tertiary fermentation??), to leave the sediments behind. It is a bit messier if you have already bottled the beer, you'll need to open the bottles, and drop a bit of hops (one flower?) into each bottle. You loose some carbonation that way. And it gets even messier when you try to fish the hops out again... If you have poured the beer in a glass, you can still add a hop flower on it, but it won't give quite as much aroma in so short time. Still, it could look cool, and stimulate a good discussion on beer and hops. Maybe I should try it some day. But if you have already drunk that beer, then it is too late. I would *not* recommend eating a few hop leaves afterwards... -H -- Heikki Levanto heikki at indexdata dot dk "In Murphy We Turst"
