There are two reasons: Some people may start from an American receipe,
and convert pounds to kilos with a bit too much precision. And the
beercalc program can scale the receipies to fit any size of batches, so
if a receipe is written for 10 liters, and gets later converted to 18
liters, you get some funny numbers.
Finally, there are people who measure their grains down to the last
gram. I never understood why, but they do exist...
In short, you can safely ignore most of the decimals. Whole and half
kilos may be a bit coarse measurement, but 100g intervals is as precise
as you ever need.
